- August 11, 2017 - August 12, 2017
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
During this brand new two day intensive workshop for advanced students in the hive, Andrea will explore ways to help you strengthen your connection to the art that you’re making. Using written exercises, small group discussion, and one to one time, these few days will create a space for self-reflection as it applies to your unique creative process. Someone once said that we ‘make the art we want to see’, and the first person to see your art is you. How do we develop an on-going, honest and compassionate relationship with ourselves as we delve into creativity? This can be a tender, vulnerable place in us, and one that each student will choose how to approach in a way that is comfortable for them. There will be no techniques taught, but lots of hands on time to work on your encaustic pieces and apply the learning to your immediate experience. All supplies provided except for the boards you’re working on. (Can be new and/or pieces in process.) Size restrictions: L + W = <30″ Any questions? Be(e) in touch!
Runs from 10 am til 4 pm both days.
Cost : $370.00
NOTE: this workshop is followed by an optional open studio on Sunday, August 13/17, with Daniel Beirne. This would give you more time to really ‘dive deeply’ into the process started during the first two days. See: Open Studio / August
